Workdesk Wednesday

Hey! Happy Wednesday :-D

I'm back for another round of WOYWW on Julia's blog. Ok so here's what I'm looking at on my desk today........
I just got this fabric delivered so I was stroking. I ordered a few different ones for a kit I'm working on and I think I like them all, what do you think?
Rest is the usual clutter, got another pile of leftovers ready for making cards on the left, a little book I've got to photo for the CT blog, that's my next job after posting this!

OK so I've been running with the storage theme this week on my blog and just to prove I'm not totally organised I have one big problem that I need to share. Under my desk is a set of drawers and they've got to the not shutting stage so they need sorting out BUT what do you do with these??
Clear stamps and inkpads? I've tried putting them in a folder with laminated pages but they just peeled off and got lost so I now I just keep them in the packets and chuck them in the draw but it's too full now - soon I'll have to resort to not buying any more - shock horror! Please help with your storage ideas, someone must have a great idea I can borrow ;-)
xx Leo

can you separate the inkpads from the stamps? most inkpads stack with others by the same manufacturer...so they sit an a shelf quite well...assuming you have a shelf, of course! lol
as for clear stamps sets, i have mine in old boxes each set standing up, and sorted by what's on them...if you followed that...you deserve a medal!!! ;0)

I've got my stamps stuck inside DVD cases but I must admit they do fall off sometimes. Its handy tho cos u can label the spines. I was thinking of making a laminated book so I'm glad I've read that they fall off, don't think I'll bother now!

I have piles of ink pads all over the place, some in drawers and some not (i.e on the floor, within reach, lol) but my clear stamps I keep standing up in a box.

Ooh! lovely fabrics! Unfortunately, I'm in the same dilema as you with the unmounteds! x

That fabric is adorable. I really like the top and bottom ones, especially "if she sews, she knows." Would love to see more of it. Very vintage look to it.

I saw that someone put theirs on one of those Tim Holtz or maybe it is 7 Gypsies ATC holder that has two turntable things and clips. I don't have enough stamps to be much help, though. Look forward to reading what others suggest. Happy WOYWW.

My clear stamps are becoming a bit of a problem too, but no way am I stopping buying them, Lol!

I love the top fabric best but the others are nice too. The prettied up glue sticks are great. and the little book looks cute.

For me the best way with clear stamps is stored on end in a box with divider cards to sort them into categories. Its the only way I can find what Iam looking for

I tossed all my clear stamps into one box, so got quite the same problem here.
I read somewhere that someone uses a little booklet with plastic sheets. Maybe you can try that?

Love those fabrics - I am rather envious! as for storing your clear stamps get a small A5 binder from paperchase and put them in there or a ring binder and inserts from tesco - they are only cheap and do the job quite well. My tescos one is shown on this link http://sunshinegirlnicola.blogspot.com/2010/04/getting-sorted.html

Thos fabrics are lovely - couldn't choose between them. As for the clear stamps - I don't know and it drives me insane. BUT - find a new home for the inkpads..you might get teh drawer closed again for a few more purchases worth!

Hhm, I think the only way around this problem is to send the contents of that drawer to me!!! Have a great weekend.

I have my clear stamps in alittle
A5 folders that I got from Asda for a pound. You can get quite a lot in each one, I have 3, divided into themes.
